Glamour On The Tracks...
“Be swept away by rolling razzmatazz and glamour on a grand tour through Europe.” – Venice Simplon Orient Express
We saw images on this romantic journey on instagram and had to investigate! We found a trip that takes you back in time when travel was glamorous, people get dressed for dinner and viewing a beautiful countryside is half the fun.
It all started in 1977, when James B. Sherwood, recognized a need for sophisticated travel through Europe and purchased two train cars. After five years of elegant restoration, the train cars were ready to escort passengers on a breathtaking journey between London and Venice. There are now three elegant dining carriages offering the culinary adventure of a lifetime. Step back into the roaring 1920’s at the intimate champagne bar and sample the finest vintage champagnes.
With multiple exquisite, personal suites and cabins “adorned with art-deco details and French-polished cherry wood” luxury and glamour comes to life. So civilized!
